Can't really believe that I'm doing this. I've firmly resisted all temptations to use my facebook page, to blog, to tweet, to do any of the other multitudinous and time-consuming diversions from real time living that we're now faced with ....  But the session on social media yesterday almost changed my mind - so I'm resolved to give this way of life a go. OK. It's all about communication  - and that I do believe in. But I can't really accept that this is a substitute for face to face contact, or even the nuances of phone conversations. Words on a page are just not a fair exchange for direct person to person contact. But important to be flexible enough to accept a changing world and a changing way of keeping in touch with others.
